In the 1901 Census: Maude Cann was 19, a domestic servant at Marine Parade, Dawlish East; Frank Cann was 18, living in barracks (a private in Somerset L.I., Taunton St Mary Magdalene, Thirteenth Regiment Taunton Depot); William is 15, a servant at the dairy farm of Ernest G. Elliott's Higher Holcombe Farm at East Teignmouth, Devon.
