Father | Owen DISDOURIAS
Mother | Hannah Jesus | |
Notes | Catherine Webster told Connie Donoghue that Emanuel was the sole survivor from a Portuguese barque wrecked in the bay. If this is true it seems likely to have been a shipwreck in the 1860s. The Irish Wrecks On-line database lists the spanish brig Edwardino (from Genoa) as wrecked 1869. The Ballycotton life-boat (the St. Clair) rescued 10 persons from that wreck. Another possibility is the February 1858 wreck of the Norwegian barque "Galatea". She was wrecked on the Youghal bar during a heavy gale. The Youghal lifeboat rescued the crew of 14 men.

Notes |
William lived with his mother at Mall Lane, Youghal at the time of the 1911 Irish Census. He is listed as 38, single and a general labourer.
Connie Donoghue (1924-2005) said that William Emmanuel Destores was also known as "Willie Manuel" and he was blind (he is not listed as blind in the 1911 Irish Census). The John Webster who was a sponsor at the birth of William is probably the husband of Anastatia Slocum (Johnanna's sister).

Notes | Death record says George was born April 7, 1874. The 1910 U.S. Census gives his age as 36, and that he and his wife Elizabeth emigrated to the U.S. in 1894 but that's a mistake as passenger records show them emigrating in 1904
